Gus is shocked to find graffiti on the chicken sign and immediately blames Mae. Mae, unfazed, says Amanda deserved it. Gus orders her to fix it.
Nancy visits Frank Jr., bringing him a framed Gentleman’s Guide to Business sign that once hung in his father’s office. She sees so much of his father in him.
Amanda questions Frankie’s recent behavior, but Frankie distracts her with memories from an old photo album. Meanwhile, Sabrina confronts Linzey, punishing her by taking away her phone.
Kenneth helps Mae repair the sign. Frankie insists to Amanda that Mae’s changes to Mimi’s aren’t personal—she’s just trying to make it look good for the show. Kenneth asks Mae what her endgame is, and she admits she’s using the episode to boost her likeability and land a new show with more creative control.
Kenneth reminds Mae how she left him behind in New York. He reminisces about meeting his husband, while Mae finally confesses she never worked on Broadway—she was a scantily clad waitress at Donkey’s. Kenneth bursts out laughing, surprised she never told him.
Amanda, Frank Jr., and Sabrina plan a prank on Mae, but Frankie reminds Amanda of her own golden rule: Do unto others as you would have done to you. Amanda reconsiders and thanks Frankie for keeping her honest.
Linzey apologizes to Frankie for getting her in trouble. She warns her that if she wants to be an actress, she’ll need a thicker skin, and offers to help her prepare for future auditions.
Gus tells Amanda she wasn’t behind the vandalizing of the sign and lets her in to use the restroom. Amanda literally bumps into Sergio, leading to an awkward but charged moment.
At Mimi’s Chicken, Sabrina’s crew is filming, but customers start complaining that the tea isn’t sweet enough. Sergio realizes Amanda sabotaged it and calls her petty. Distracted, Amanda accidentally backs into Dot with her car. Sergio smooths things over, offering to walk Dot home.
Gus is shocked Amanda would stoop to sabotage. Mae sees the potential drama for the show, but Gus is worried about the restaurant’s financial future. Mae promises she won’t let them lose. Later, in retaliation, Mae buys up all the chickens from the local farm.
Amanda is impressed by how hard Frank Jr. is working. Meanwhile, Nancy reminds Jarvis about her chicken order but is shocked by his response.
Gus admits she used to watch Mae’s show Sparkling, surprising Mae. Gus assumes Mae put the show on hold for her, but Mae doesn’t admit the truth—that she was fired.
Mae calls her fiancé, keeping up the lie that everything is fine.
Linzey watches Frankie act out a scene and tells her she has real potential. But Frankie just wants to escape the pressures of small-town life.
At Mimi’s Chicken, tensions erupt as Nancy and Amanda confront Mae and Gus over the sabotage. Nancy insists she had nothing to do with it and forces Amanda to apologize. Amanda and Mae exchange barbs, while Nancy tries to buy back her chicken order—Gus agrees to sell them back but raises the price out of spite.
Then Amanda drops a bombshell: Mae isn’t home by choice—she got fired and is only here because she wants to stay on TV.
Amanda fumes over how unfair it all is. Frank Jr. agrees, telling her she’s spent her whole life hoping things would change when they won’t. He supports her need to fight back. Amanda is thrilled, hopeful they can finally win—and maybe even try for another baby.
At the inn, Sabrina panics when the power goes out. She vents to the handyman, who ends up fixing both the electricity and her computer.
Mae tries to talk to Gus, but Gus questions Mae’s true intentions. She’s still hurt by Mae’s absence.
Linzey tells Sabrina she did what she was told—she hung out with Frankie. Satisfied, Sabrina returns her phone.
Amanda goes back to Frannie’s to rope Frank Jr. into another prank, but he refuses.
Nancy notices Frank Jr. is drinking and downcast. She asks about the sabotage, but he blames Amanda. He also tells her that Amanda is out right now planning another prank.
Late that night, Mae visits Gus, confronting her about why she always had to put herself first. A glimpse inside Gus’ house reveals it’s packed wall to wall with clutter. Mae accuses Gus of choosing her possessions over her own daughters. Gus, hurt, slams the door in her face.
Meanwhile, Amanda sneaks into Mimi’s Chicken, determined to destroy the place. Sergio catches her mid-act and calls her out, reminding her that the damage will only set her mother back even further.
Amanda snaps, saying he has no idea what it was like for her growing up—always being nice, always trying to be good, despite having a mother and sister who never truly cared for her. She’s tired of it.
Sergio simply tells her: Then stop.
Something shifts. Caught in the moment, Amanda kisses Sergio. Things heat up—until Nancy walks in and catches them.
