Frank Jr. always looked up to his dad. He was eager to learn from him and felt honored when Frank Sr. was ready to pass the torch. But everything changed when Frank Jr. botched an important presentation, causing his father to lose confidence in him. Before they could repair their relationship, Frank Sr. passed away. From that moment on, Frank Jr. vowed to make his dad proud one day.

The next morning, Amanda wakes up in the back of Sergio’s truck, happy but hurried. She rushes off before anyone sees them together. Meanwhile, Frank Jr. is escorted back to town by the sheriff after spending the night asleep in a phone booth.

Back home, Amanda notices Frank Jr. is missing when Shawna arrives with troubling news—someone reported code violations at Gus’s house. Amanda and Shawna rush to warn Gus, finding her with Mae and Jay. Gus grills Jay but welcomes him into the family. There’s no time for pleasantries—this is a family emergency.

Shawna can’t help herself and tells Nancy about Gus’s situation. Mae pleads with Gus to let her help get rid of the junk for real this time. She jumps into action, assigning tasks to everyone. Frankie asks if Gus’s house was always this way when Amanda was growing up.

Overwhelmed, Nancy seeks reassurance from the pastor, asking if he thinks she’s a good person. He tells her she’s one of the kindest, most wonderful people he knows. Still, she quietly prays for a miracle.

Gus doesn’t want the whole town to find out about her mess, but it’s too late. Kenneth and Patrick work to distract Sabrina so she stays out of it, while Nancy arrives at Gus’s house with a crowd of townspeople. But instead of judging Gus, Nancy surprises her by offering help. Gus, touched by the gesture, finally agrees to let them in.

As Frankie sifts through her mom’s things, she starts to see her as a person, not just a mother. Meanwhile, Sergio prepares food for the helpers. At first, some hesitate, feeling disloyal to Mimi’s, but eventually, they give in—and it’s delicious.

Amanda struggles with old memories while sorting through the house. Kenneth and Patrick can’t keep Sabrina occupied any longer, and she heads straight for Mimi’s. Back at Gus’s, the sheriff tells Amanda that Frank Jr. was drunk and out all night.

Mae breaks down, confiding in Amanda that she wonders if Gus will ever choose them over her hoarded possessions. Gus overhears and realizes the pain she’s caused. Later, she shares her history with Sergio, explaining how after her mother died, she ran everything into the ground and hurt her daughters in the process. She wishes for a do-over. Sergio reminds her that it’s never too late.

Nancy approaches Amanda with an overdue apology. She didn’t know what Frank Sr. had been doing to Gus. If she had known, she would’ve put a stop to it. Nancy asks if Amanda betrayed Frank Jr., but Amanda insists Frank Jr. betrayed them all by reporting her mom.

When the Kitchen Clash crew shows up at Gus’s house, Sabrina is stunned by the clutter. Linzey pleads with her mom to stop rolling and ruining the town’s reputation and their friends’ lives. Sabrina pushes back, questioning Linzey’s loyalty, pointing out she only hung out with Frankie because Sabrina told her to. Frankie overhears, heartbroken by the revelation.

Nancy confronts Frank Jr. about reporting Gus. Furious when he admits it, she calls him out for betraying their family.

Mae asks Sabrina not to release the footage from Gus’s house. Sabrina assures her there’s nothing to worry about—the crew didn’t get anything usable.

As Gus asks everyone to leave, Mae crumbles under the pressure. She can’t do it all alone. Feeling vulnerable, she confesses to Jay that she just wanted to prove she was worth loving. Jay reassures her—he loves her even more now that she’s showing her true self. He admits he’s been lying too: he quit his job. They reconcile, stronger than before.

While cleaning, Frankie finds an old family recipe book with a mysterious letter tucked inside.

In a desperate, emotional moment, Gus lights the house on fire. She and the girls stand silently, watching it go up in flames. As the house burns, Gus collapses.
