Cassie and Sam clean up a storage room as they prepare to have Nick move in. Sam expressed how he doesn’t think Nick is taking his future, post high school, seriously. Cassie encourages him to give it time and it will all work out. The two get excited as their wedding is only two days away. Cassie comes across an old folder with a wedding photo of her great great great grandmother and her husband Douglas on their wedding day. Cassie reminisces on the history around the photo which was taken in front of a forever tree. Cassie tells Sam the tree is a sign of good luck for a lifetime of happiness.
Cassie has made a checklist for the wedding, which includes finding a dress and Sam finding the right tuxedo. She has already asked Abigail to do the flowers, who has agreed to take the job.
Cassie, Abigail and Martha meet up at the Bistro for coffee and Martha wants all the details on the engagement. Stephanie stops by to wish Cassie congratulations and tells the ladies that she is ready to move on from Ben. When Stephanie leaves, Martha tells Cassie and Abigail that she is supposed to give a speech at the re-dedication of the Salt Creek Bridge and can use a little inspiration, especially because the last mayor to dedicate the bridge gave a lasting impression. That man was her husband.

Against the knowing advice of her mother Dina (Teryl Rothery) and best friend Amber (Emily Holmes), Bailey tries to transform herself into the perfect fit for each new guy she meets. As each relationship ends, Bailey adopts her ex's dogs, but remains hopelessly single.
