Our snow globe cake is inspired by my late Aunt Becky (Amy’s older sister) and is flavored with pink champagne. Champagne is often used for toasts at Christmas time. This flavor reminds me of happy cheers around holiday gatherings.
We chose hot chocolate for the cake flavor inspiration because it’s our favorite beverage to enjoy on Christmas Eve! Ever since we were kids, our tradition with our families has been to read Twas the Night Before Christmas.
Our Baked Alaska is inspired by many family favorites in our southern kitchens at home. While we usually make these flavors of ice cream in the summertime, we bring these flavors to our Christmas table in this festive dessert.
Christmas Eve is just as big, if not bigger than Christmas day for our family. We wanted to think outside the box, and rather than just focus on the night before Christmas theme in general, we wanted to emphasize our night before Christmas.
The inspiration behind this bake is our family at Christmas. Each one of these recipes chosen are a family recipe and making each is an annual tradition at our Christmas table.
