Rosemary tries to find a nice way to let Elizabeth and Nathan know they are fired from their lead roles. Lee and Opal ask Rosemary who she is going to cast. She sees Fernando working and may have just found her new leading man.
Rosemary gives Gwen a pair of denim overalls, for which Gwen thanks her and says she wants to wear them to school. As Gwen heads out, Rosemary assures Lee that his presentation is going to dazzle the committee.
Now that the fire investigation may be a much larger conspiracy, Nathan suggests they gather as much evidence as they can. Georgie offers to help since she has lots of connections from being a forensic investigator.
The town folks come together as they help Minnie with making a large delivery of jam. Meanwhile, a panicking Rosemary tells Elizabeth that they missed adding sugar to one of the batches.
While they are fishing, Gwen opens about her mom passing away from illness, which is why she didn't want to go to the hospital to see her dad. Lee assures Gwen that her dad's situation isn't as serious and tells her how much it would cheer up her dad if they visited.
