While they are fishing, Gwen opens about her mom passing away from illness, which is why she didn't want to go to the hospital to see her dad. Lee assures Gwen that her dad's situation isn't as serious and tells her how much it would cheer up her dad if they visited.
Elizabeth decides to stop by Rosemary's to ask about how Gwen is doing and to return the fork. Rosemary is upset that Gwen was behaving that way, but Elizabeth advises her to give Gwen space.
