Andrea Brooks is a Canadian actress best known for her portrayal of Dr. Faith Carter on the long-standing Hallmark Channel original series When Calls the Heart, of which she has been a cast member since the show’s second season. Brooks has also appeared as a series regular on The CW’s Supergirl, playing the quirky role of Eve Tessmacher, as originally portrayed by Academy Award nominated Valerie Perrine in Richard Donner’s Superman films.

Brooks’ television credits consist of over 15 projects for Hallmark Channel, including Romance to the Rescue opposite Marcus Rosner and the Christmas Cookie Matchup alongside her When Calls the Heart castmates. in 2023, she starred opposite Patch May in Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ A Lifelong Love. She has guest starred on numerous hit television series, including So Help Me Todd, Supernatural, iZombie, Bates Motel and The Flash. In addition to her work in television, she has appeared in feature films such as Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, What Goes Up, 50/50 and The Company You Keep starring Susan Sarandon and Robert Redford.

Brooks holds a B.A. and M.A. from The University of British Columbia, where she studied English Literature, Film Studies, and served as editor of UBC’s film journal, Cinephile. She speaks French and enjoys writing in between projects.
