A Los Angeles native, Mike Faiola initially set off to college to become a journalist. It wasn’t until he graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara that his interest quickly shifted to acting. Mike immediately gravitated toward the talented group of actors who make up Tim Robbins’ prestigious “Actor’s Gang,” where he had the privilege to train with and learn from some of the most skilled stage and screen actors in the country.
Mike’s most longstanding role was as the emotionally grounded Kevin Hamilton on MTV's acclaimed scripted series, “Awkward.” He continuously works in television and had a series regular role on Marshall Herskovitz’s groundbreaking series “Quarterlife.” His guest appearances include “Grey's Anatomy,” “CSI Miami,” “Modern Family,” “Bones” and, most recently, “Yellowstone,” in which he played opposite Kevin Costner. He has also worked on feature films that include Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Seeing Other People and Fatal Flip. Faiola starred in the 2016 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie “Love Always, Santa.”
When he’s not acting, Faiola spends much of his time working as a case manager for homeless youth at Safe Place for Youth in Venice Beach. He has also worked as a residential counselor for foster teens at Los Angeles Youth Network and as head teaching artist at the Young Storytellers Foundation. In addition to his passion for working with youth, Faiola’s hobbies include surfing, swimming, skiing and music. He is currently the drummer and writer for a Los Angeles based band who call themselves Les Enfants.
