Nicholas Gonzalez recently wrapped three seasons as a series regular playing Dr. Neil Melendez on ABC’s smash-hit hospital drama “The Good Doctor.” He also recently co-starred on ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder,” Netflix’s hit show “Narcos,” “Frequency” for The CW and the Amazon series “Bosch.” Additionally, he recurs on The CW’s “The Flash” as Cisco’s brother Dante Ramon and BET’s “Being Mary Jane.” He is also known for playing sexy Detective Marco Furey on Freeform’s beloved “Pretty Little Liars.” A graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Gonzalez first burst onto the scene in the critically acclaimed Showtime series “Resurrection Blvd.,” in which he played boxer/medical student Alex Santiago. He followed that with a steady stream of roles, most notably as Detective Mike Sandoval in NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU” and as Detective Luke Morales in Fox’s hit “Sleepy Hollow.” Additional television roles include appearances on “Jane the Virgin,” “Modern Family,” “Bojack Horseman,” “Bones,” “Bordertown,” “True Blood” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
On the big screen, Gonzalez recently starred as Nico Reynoso in the film Pray for Rain opposite Jane Seymour. He also appeared in The Purge: Anarchy, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Dirty, “SWAT: Firefight” and “Behind Enemy Lines II: Axis of Evil.” He also can be seen as the lead in “Battlefield: Hardline,” the fifth installment of the celebrated video game series “Battlefield” from Electronic Arts (EA).
Gonzalez is originally from San Antonio, Texas, and currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Kelsey Crane, and their daughter, Ever Lee Wilde. Charities dear to him include Friends of El Faro and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
