James Tupper can next be seen starring alongside Alicia Silverstone in Le-Van Kiet’s feature thriller The Requin. Additional film credits include starring opposite Helen Hunt, Aaron Paul, Maggie Grace and Rashida Jones in Decoding Annie Parker; Mr. Popper’s Penguins with Jim Carrey and Carla Gugino, and in Me and Orsen Welles with Claire Danes, Zac Efron and Christian McKay.
Tupper is a Canadian actor who captivated the audience’s attention with his role as Jack Slattery on the ABC television series “Men in Trees.” He has since gone on to star in several television series including NBC’s medical drama “Mercy” with Taylor Schilling and in two of ABC’s acclaimed dramas; the Emmy Award winning series “Grey’s Anatomy” as Dr. Andrew Perkins and in “Revenge” as David Clarke.
Tupper went on to star as Nathan Carlson, the ex-husband to Reese Witherspoon in Jean-Marc Vallée’s HBO award winning series “Big Little Lies.” The series was created by David E. Kelley based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling book. The show received praise and nominations from several critics and organizations and Tupper received a nomination from the Screen Actors Guild for Best Ensemble in a cast which is shared alongside co-stars Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Shailene Woodley and Alexander Skarsgård, among others. Other television credits include ABC’s “A Million Little Things” and Hulu’s “The Hardy Boys.”
