Katie Leclerc grew up in Lakewood, Colorado and Valley Center, California and began professionally acting at the age of 15. Leclerc has seen great success as both an actor and producer. Leclerc starred in the ABC Family hit series “Switched at Birth” for seven years, receiving a Peabody Award and several other nominations for her performance as Daphne Vasquez.
Leclerc had a recurring role on “The Big Bang Theory” and has appeared in such high-profile series as “Veronica Mars,” “Community,” and “NCIS,” to name a few. In addition to her work in television, Leclerc has starred in over a dozen feature films for companies such as Sony, Hallmark and AMC+.
Leclerc has also been producing feature films and highly visible podcasts. In the feature film world, she has worked as a producer on 4 films for Lifetime. Leclerc currently produces eight podcasts for idobi Radio and Bleav Podcast Network. She also produces a daily radio show, “The Brett Davern Show,” which recently celebrated its 1000th episode.
Leclerc is incredibly passionate about community and philanthropy. She recently taught ASL on Michelle Obama’s Netflix series “Waffles + Mochi” and was seen on FOX’s “Fantasy Island” last season.
