Daren Kagasoff is best known for his five seasons as the male lead on the acclaimed ABC Family series, “The Secret Life of The American Teenager,” created by Brenda Hampton. The series ended on a high, reaching the coveted 100-episode mark and securing its place in television history.
Daren began a new chapter of his career as the male lead for the television adaptation of Lauren Oliver’s New York Times bestseller trilogy “Delirium.” The pilot, directed by Rodrigo Garcia for FOX, sparked renewed excitement in the trilogy and interest from its devoted fans around the globe.
Daren continues to solidify his place as an actor on the rise. He starred in the eerie Universal Pictures feature “Ouija,” based on the Hasbro board game. Produced by Jason Blum, it held the number one spot in the domestic box office for two weeks. He would then go onto guest-star in the dark CBS series “Stalker” and play the strong recurring role of Hunter in the heart-tugging FOX series “Red Band Society.” The series co-starred Academy Award nominee Octavia Spencer.
Most recently, he was a series regular in the NBC apartment drama series “The Village,” executive produced by Mike Daniels.
In 2022, Daren starred opposite Glen Powell and Jonathan Majors in Sony’s American biographical war film “Devotion,” based on the 2015 book Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos. Directed by J. D. Dillard, the film revolves around a pair of U.S. Navy fighter pilots who risk their lives during the Korean War. Daren played Bill Koenig, an US army aviator and test parachutist commanding the Naval Aerospace Recovery Facility in El Centro, CA.
