This Winter Spice Wine is a homemade version of Glühwein, a mulled wine popular in Germany and easy to make on the stovetop. They say the secret to creating a great Glühwein is simply mixing quality red wine, cinnamon stick, oranges and cloves. 1 bottle Merlot
6 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
- Simmer a bottle of Merlot on stove top with clove and sliced orange and a cinnamon stick for an hour.
- Remove from heat and let cool or serve warm.
