Amy Acker is known to millions of fans throughout the world for her long-running starring roles as Winifred “Fred” Burkle/Illyria in Joss Whedon’s hit sci-fi/fantasy series “Angel,” with David Boreanaz. For her portrayal, Amy received four Saturn Award nominations, and won in 2004 as Best Supporting Actress. Born and raised in Dallas, Amy becan her acting career there, appearing in episodes of the popular series “Wishbone,” which filmed in and around the city. Most recently, Amy co-starred for four seasons in the hit series “Person of Interest,” and guest-starred in an episode of the “MacGyver” reboot that aired in September.

Amy has guest-starred in a large number of TV series, including “Suits,” “Con Man,” “Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D.,” “Husbands,” “Once Upon a Time,” “Grimm,” “Warehouse 13,” “The Good Wife,” “Private Practive,” “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and “Ghost Whisperer,” among others. She had recurring roles in the series “Justice League,” “Dollhouse” and “Happy Town,” and has play a wide range of roles in TV movies, including Hallmark Channel’s “A Novel Romance” and “Dear Santa,” directed by “Beverly Hills 90210’s” Jason Priestly.

On the big screen, Amy starred in The Cabin in the Woods and appeared in the Leonardo DiCaprio-Tom Hanks starrer Catch Me if You Can. She has also appeared in several independent features, including The Energy Specialist, Let’s Kill Ward’s Wife, 21 and a Wake-Up and The Novice.
