Tori Anderson was born in Edmonton, Alberta and moved to Vancouver Island, British Columbia when she was one year old. The second youngest in a family of five children, Anderson and her siblings grew up immersed in the arts while balancing extensive farm chores. Following high school graduation, she moved to Toronto and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from York University’s Acting Conservatory. Since then, Anderson has built a successful career in theater, film and television.
Anderson is best known for her series regular role as Kate Whistler on the CBS series NCIS: Hawaiʻi. Her television credits include a starring role in The CW’s No Tomorrow and a season-long recurring role on NBC’s Blindspot. Additional credits include recurring roles on Syfy’s Killjoys and The CW’s The L.A. Complex, a series regular role on Nickelodeon’s The Other Kingdom and a starring role in the TeenNick series Open Heart.
Anderson has also appeared in a variety of television movies, including Killing Daddy, The Mermaid Chair, To Have and to Hold and Cable Beach. On stage, Anderson portrayed Michelle Phillips in Dream a Little Dream at the Phoenix Theatre in Arizona and Viv in Habit at Toronto’s Luminato Festival.
Hallmark viewers know Anderson from her roles in the Hallmark Channel original movies Campfire Christmas and Love Under the Olive Tree, as well as Return to Christmas Creek for Hallmark Mystery.
