Jeremy Guilbaut

Greg Mount

Jeremy Guilbaut was born in Vancouver, Canada to a French father and American mother. This “international” upbringing had a profound effect on his life and worldview as his family (he has a younger sister) spent a lot of his childhood traveling throughout North America and Europe. This included spending time growing up in Paris, France for a couple of stints. But it was in Vancouver, at Prince of Wales high school, where he caught the acting bug. Participating in improv and the various school plays really ignited his passion for acting.

From there, Guilbaut went to the University of British Columbia to continue studying acting. It was during his first year there that he booked the lead in a kid’s detective TV series called “Daring & Grace” that filmed on the other side of the country in Moncton, New Brunswick. After returning home, Jeremy was cast in a multitude of roles including the teen soap “Edgemont” alongside alumns Kristin Kreuk, Dominic Zamprogna and Grace Park. Next he was cast as one of the leads in the Hallmark Channel miniseries “Snow Queen” co-starring Bridget Fonda, based on Hans Christian Andersen’s fairytale. Other roles included a recurring role on “Battlestar Galactica” as well as Two For The Money alongside Matthew McConaughey and Al Pacino. From 2008 to 2009 Jeremy starred in the Canadian Coast Guard series “The Guard” for Global Television. In it, he played Andrew Vanderlee a rescue swimmer dealing with post traumatic stress syndrome. The job was an amazing experience as it included filming out in the Pacific Ocean on real Canadian coast guard vessels.

In recent years, Jeremy has been incredibly busy teaming up with Hallmark Channel for a number of projects. Among them, “My Boyfriend’s Dogs” alongside Erika Christensen, “Sandra Brown’s White Hot” with Shenae Grimes-Beech, Sean Faris and John Schneider and “All Things Valentine” with Sam Page and Sarah Rafferty. “Autumn in the Vineyard” was a particularly enjoyable experience as part of it filmed in beautiful Osoyoos wine country in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia.

Jeremy will be particularly recognizable to fans (the “Hearties”) of the Hallmark Channel series “When Calls the Heart”. Beginning in season four, Guilbaut was cast as the conniving and dastardly Ray Wyatt, the head of the railroad and thorn in the side of the two leading ladies of Hope Valley, Elizabeth and Abigail.
