After an exhaustive search spanning all across Canada, the hunt for finding someone to play Anne Shirley in the movie "Anne of Green Gables – A New Beginning" (2008), finally came to an end when 12-year-old Hannah Endicott-Douglas was selected to reprise the role made famous by Megan Follows.
A Toronto native, Endicott-Douglas landed her first role at the age of nine in "Samantha – An American Girl Holiday," (2004) for Warner Bros. She then went on to star in the Hallmark Channel Original Movies "The Good Witch," "The Good Witch's Garden," "The Good Witch's Gift," "The Good Witch's Family," and "The Good Witch's Charm."
In addition, Endicott-Douglas has lent her voice for many characters in popular animated shows including "Miss BG," "Will and Dewitt," and "My Friend Rabbit." More recently, she can be seen guest starring in various television series such as "Flashpoint" and "Murdoch Mysteries," as well as alongside Kevin Spacey in "Casino Jack." Most important to Endicott-Douglas is that she is an Elementary School Ambassador for the non-profit organization Free The Children.
