PROGRAMMINGSeriesI LOVE LUCYDesi Arnaz stars as Cuban bandleader Ricky Ricardo who does what he can to keep up with the zany schemes of his highly imaginative wife, Lucy, played by legendary comedienne, Lucille Ball. The recurring storylines relate Lucy’s continual efforts to become an entertainer, despite Ricky’s endless attempts to discourage her, and their comically frantic life in the apartment building they share with landlords Fred (William Frawley) and Ethel Mertz (Vivian Vance). Years later he returns to the same location and again manages to fall into the sea, and is rescued once more by the mermaid. The mermaid decides to search for Allen in New York, sprouting legs when her tail dries.
