He may not know where his keys are, but absent-minded criminology professor Dr. Jonathan Maxwell can teach his protégés a few things about solving crimes like murder.

When a local high-powered executive is killed in an explosion at his mansion, suspicions point to an attractive female investigative reporter who was close to the man and working undercover on a story about corporate scandal. Brought in by the police to help solve the crime, Dr. Maxwell has a mind that circumvents the obvious. He plunges into a world of corporate intrigue to uncover a long list of ruthless men and women with big-money motives for murder.
