Look 1: Comfy Cocktail
To save money on an evening dress, look for fabrics like ITY (Jersey Fabric with silky look and feel) instead of chiffon or silk. Don't be afraid to wear your evening looks more than once during your pregnancy. Update and change the look with pop colored heels and chunky bracelets.
Look 2: Active Chic
Dress up any maternity tee with a tailored jacket or blazer. Don't be afraid to invest in a blazer, as it can work during pregnancy (worn open) and after. It is important to get a good fit (sleeve length and shoulder) as your frame will stay consistent. Layering is helpful—remove blazer during hot flashes. Don't be afraid of white: it camouflages spit-up once the baby comes. A good pair of versatile pants are crucial during pregnancy—over the belly are often more comfortable and produce a more flattering line. Also, pret pants are great for post-pregnancy.
Look 3: Functional Fashion
Don’t be afraid of a print when you’re pregnant. This look is fashionable and flattering and will highlight your new curves. Wrap dresses are excellent because they grow with you and can be worn to just about any occasion.
Look 4: Desk to Dinner
A Kate Middleton inspired look: tailored, regal color with contrast camel belt, classic cut, preppy, excellent with nude pumps. Great desk to dinner look: slip on flats for the day and nude pumps for post work.
Look 5: Weekend
Don’t be afraid of the nautical stripe—it looks chic and can actually distract from the bump! I love a red white and blue combo as it's clean, fresh, timeless, and effortlessly chic. The Roma Tee is a nice alternative to all of the clingy and curve hugging looks we are seeing in maternity wear right now for those who gravitate to a looser silhouette.
Look 6: Versatile Dress
I believe in being comfortable while you’re pregnant, but as you can see by this style, it doesn't mean you can't look cute. Wear this look to the beach or on weekend errands or dressed up with heels and jewelry for evening. Great style because it is a canvas for any kind of accessorizing/transcends many types of styles. This simple t-shirt dress elevated by texture of the fabric and the slip underneath.
