Foods that Boost Your Mood


Avocado
The healthy fat in avocados help raise dopamine levels and increase endorphins which makes us feel happy. As a bonus, if you’re prone to stress, these same fats will help lower blood pressure if eaten consistently over time.
 
Dark Chocolate
A lot of people know that eating a small amount of dark chocolate a few times a week has certain health benefits like lowering blood pressure, reducing risk of stroke, and even helping to prevent certain types of cancer. But it also boosts serotonin levels that make us feel happy and more relaxed without the resulting in a sugar crash or low blood sugar. So when you’re feeling stressed, go for a piece of dark chocolate – but check the label and make sure it’s 85 percent cocoa.
 
Milk
Consuming whey, a protein present in milk, is shown to decrease frustration and anxiety. Drinking milk improves absorption of other minerals and vitamins, so by consuming mood-boosting foods in conjunction with milk, you increase their effectiveness. Just 1-2 glasses of milk a day will give you a natural mood boost and make you happier and more productive.

Asparagus
Asparagus is high in a B vitamin known as folate that aids in increasing the production of histamine. Histamine is important for a healthy libido in men and women.
 
Garlic
Garlic is recognized as an aphrodisiac and is well-known for improving blood flow.
 
Honey
A great source of boron, a trace mineral that helps the body use and metabolize estrogen, the female hormone.
 
Foods that Make You Look Younger
 
Sweet Potatoes
Beta-carotene, which gives the orange-ish color to the potatoes, balances your skin's pH, helps combat dryness, and promotes cell turnover, all resulting in smoother skin. Beta carotene is also found in kale and carrots.
 
Blueberries
Blueberries have the highest capacity of antioxidants among all the berries like strawberries and blackberries. Blueberries also contain compounds that help to keep all cells from aging and help you look and feel younger yourself. It can also help you with your mental capacity too.
 
Pomegranate Juice
Contains polyphenols that help skin stay thick, firm and elastic.
