Jennifer Cassetta's ABCs of Self-Defense
A. Awareness - Be aware of your surroundings. Don’t allow someone to sneak up on you. Can you see and hear clearly? Do you have at least one hand free?
B. Boundaries - Know your physical and personal boundaries. Don’t allow yourself to get in a comprising situation, like in an elevator with a creepy guy.
C. Communication - Communicate Power. Walk with purpose - your head held high, your shoulders high and your chest up. Do not be on your cell phone or fumbling through your purse.
Dangerous Areas are: Parking Lots, Garages, Elevators, Streets/Alleys
If you are attacked what can you do?
1. Use what you have on your body. Use your purse, keys, cellphone, pen, and high heels.
2. Target areas are the Eyes, Throat, and Groin.
3. Trust your instincts.
