Today on Marie
At 61 years old, Lou Ferrigno is still sporting his impressive "Incredible Hulk" muscles. He discusses how bullying led him to weightlifting. Partially deaf, Lou wears a Starkey hearing aid and speaks about his reliance on lip-reading. Due to his deafness, his father rejected him, but Lou has come to terms with their rocky relationship. Lou puts his bodybuilding to good use, serving as a deputy sheriff. If you too want to stay in shape on the go, Lou is excited to launch an online fitness program. And, he becomes green in the face talking about his time on "Celebrity Apprentice." Plus, Marie goes bananas for Lou's smoothie recipe!

Dr. David Alessi, Wife Deborah, and Domestic Abuse Victim Jennifer Escobar
Taking note of the high statistics of domestic violence towards women, Dr. David Alessi and his wife Deborah founded Face Forward to help victims recover from the physical and emotional scars. Over 500 potential patients reach out to the organization on a weekly basis. They research police records and doctor's reports to carefully choose survivors who will break the cycle of abusive relationship. One such success story is that of Jennifer Escobar. After having her nose fractured three times by her boyfriend, Jennifer finally found the courage to escape with her five-year-old son, leaving all their belongings behind. She will forever be grateful for the support and medical attention she received from the Alessi's and Face Forward. Marie kindly gives Jennifer an extra $1,000 to help her rebuild her life.
