Today on Marie
From “Days of Our Lives,” three-time Daytime Emmy® nominee, Deidre Hall joins Marie to talk about her legendary character, Dr. Marlena Evans. She discusses the importance of the soap opera family to viewers, and how the consistency of the show throughout their lives remains important even as so many shows are leaving the air. Recently Deidre tried (and succeeded!) at doing stand up comedy, and she is even learning sign language in her spare time. She also contributed to a new book featuring the whole "Days" cast, "Days of our Lives Better Living: Cast Secrets for a Healthier, Balanced Life."
Later, Deidre reveals how her stepsons’ serving in Afghanistan and Iraq inspired her to become an artist, and how her art supports our soldiers. She took a watercolor class and decided to create greeting cards of her work, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
