How to Prepare for Summer Camp
Camp Expert and Author of the eBook, "Mama of Many's Guide to Camp," Julie Cole talks about getting kids prepared for summer camps. Julie believes that most kids are ready for camp once they hit the age of 8-10 years old. She says the true test is to see if they are ready for a summer camp is how well they do at sleepovers. If a kid isn’t ready for a sleep-away camp, try taking your kid to a day camp. Camp helps to build confidence and independence and having a friend to go with them to camp will also help. Finally, Julie advises to always ask for a screening from the camp counselors; the camp will provide this upon request.
Julie is also the co-founder of MabelsLabels.com, a great way to make packing more easier!
