Easter Tablescape with Ken Wingard
Ken Wingard begins the two-part process of designing a tablescape for Easter. He focuses his attention first on building a base and structure on which to place items at various levels. Then, he sands down painted terra cotta pots to give them more of a rustic feel. Next, he covers books in muslin and labels the spine with Easter-y titles. The original pasta primavera is a dish that hails from Le Cirque in New York. Cristina makes the famed restaurant's popular menu item, but adds her own personal twist. Instead of using heavy cream, she subs in a blend of nonfat cottage cheese and olive oil with blanched garlic. Then, she adds a bunch of other blanched veggies of your choosing to the pan.
