Spicy Gazpacho Grab Smoothie

Spicy Gazpacho Grab Smoothie
Ingredients
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1⁄2 red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
  • 1⁄2 medium cucumber, chopped
  • 1⁄2 small avocado, pitted and peeled
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped red onion, plus more to taste
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice, plus more to taste
  • 3⁄4 teaspoon natural salt, plus more to taste
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes
  • 1 cup (125g) ice cubes
  • Optional: 1⁄2 teaspoon finely chopped jalapeño chile
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon cold-pressed extra-virgin olive oil
  • Optional: 1⁄4 teaspoon finely grated lime zest

These flavors explode up front, expand in the mouth, and party in your throat till the next sip hits your lips. This potent alkalizer, immune booster, and anti-inflammatory aid is also awesome for weight loss. And guys: the lutein in the avocado plus the lycopene in the tomato equals prostate-cancer prevention.

Instructions:

Throw the tomatoes into your blender, then pile on the rest of the ingredients. Blast on high for 30 to 60 seconds, until well combined. Tweak flavors to taste (you may want more onion, lime juice, or salt).
