Grilled Banana Splits
- Firm bananas sliced lengthwise in half
- 1-2 Tablespoon Softened unsalted butter per banana
- Brown Sugar
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Chocolate Sauce
- Whipped Cream
- Cherry (for top)
- Chopped or sliced almonds
Coat bananas completely with softened unsalted butter.
Roll banana in sugar to cover all around. Preheat barbecue on high and place cast iron skillet directly on grill to heat. Cook in a cast iron 1-2 minutes until caramelized, flip and do the same on the other side, being careful not to burn. Place banana in a dish and top with ice cream of your choice. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, chopped nuts and cherries.
