  • Paintbrush
  • Shims
  • Wood Glue
  • Drill
  • Varnish


Update Your Dresser - Home & Family

Ken Wingard teams up with Dream Job winner Amber Kemp-Gerstel to show you how to update your dresser with shims.

Directions

1. Paint dresser desired color.

2. Dab line of wood glue across dresser.

3. Layer slanted wood shims to create a basket pattern (match high end to high end and low end to low end).

4. Repeat layering process.

5. Drill holes for nobs at desired proximity.

6. Apply a polyurethane finish over the shims.

7. Saw shims if hanging off edge.
