Rafael Simon is a film, television and theatre actor whose training started at the National Conservatory for the Dramatic Arts in Washington, DC. He also studied at the University of Maryland, the Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory in DC and Casa del Teatro in Mexico City. He has participated in over 20 film productions, including: The Argentine, Cinco de Mayo, Dariela On Tuesdays, Allá y En Tonces, Never on a Sunday, Sueño, A Day Without a Mexican, and Sin Ton Ni Sonia to mention a few. During his career, he has worked with directors such as Steven Soderbergh, Gabriel Beristain, Daniel Gruener, Rafa Lara, Mauricio T. Valle, Sergio Arau and Fernando Rovzar, among others. On television, he is currently airing on Univision with “La Piloto.” He has also participated in “Gritos de Dolores” and “Mauricios” for the Televisa network (Mexico). Additionally, Simon has over a dozen stage credits, mostly in the United States. He enjoys dancing, baseball, soccer, volleyball, fencing, motorbiking, riding, skiing, mountain biking and climbing.
